About RMOC
The Operating Committee on Rolling Mills was formed in the year 1974 to serve as a forum for exchange of information, operating experiences, ideas and views among the operators of various rolling mills (both long & flat products) of India so as to bridge the communication gap between different steel plants in the field of hot and cold rolling.

52nd RMOC meeting, Feb 14-15, Bokaro Steel Plant

The 52nd RMOC Meeting has been convened on Feb 14-15, 2019, at Bokaro Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel City. It has been chaired by Shri DN Mohanty, General Manager I/c (CRM), Bokaro Steel Plant.
Theme of the Meeting has been chosen as ‘Performance Improvement of Flat and Long Rolling Mills’.
Agenda of the meeting: Discussions on the following topics for flat and long rolling mills and their finishing lines:
· Operating challenges of rolling mills
· Improving techno-economic parameters
· Enhancing quality of rolled products
· Advances in rolling technology

It is being participated by around 140 delegates from 25 steel plants and units of Steel Authority of India Ltd., Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd., Tata Steel Ltd., Tata Steel Bhushan, JSW Steel Ltd., Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., Jindal Stainless Ltd., NMDC, Mukand Ltd. and Mecon. It includes all the integrated and special steel plants of SAIL namely Bhilai Steel Plant, Bokaro Steel Plant, Durgapur Steel Plant, IISCO Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, Alloy Steel Plant, Salem Steel Plant and VISL. Members of RDCIS, CET and SAIL Corporate Office are also participating in the meeting. Over a dozen reputed technology suppliers and manufacturers such as Bharat Roll, Danieli, Deleuze SA, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Indrox Global, International Steel Services, Nation Engineering Industry, NKMZ, Pesmel, Quaker, Signode, Timken, Yuken, are also showcasing their products and services in the meet.
